STEVEN LORENTZ MAKES NHL DEBUT TONIGHT FOR THE CAROLINA HURRICANES!

Congratulations to Waterloo U16 alum Steven Lorentz who will make his NHL debut tonight for the Carolina Hurricanes vs. Tampa Bay Lightning. Steve is a true example of staying focused on his goals and being committed to the process. He is a true professional in every sense of the matter and it was a pleasure to coach him as well as have him stay in touch with myself and our program as he is always here and gives back. I wish Steven the best of luck tonight and with all future goals as many success stories will continue to come. A very special moment for him tonight and enjoy every second of it. I know I will be watching and will be excited for you.

 

Logan Stanley makes NHL debut

CONGRATULATIONS to Logan Stanley who will be making his NHL debut tonight for @nhljets vs the Toronto Maple Leafs. Logan played his minor hockey in Waterloo and is an alumni of the Waterloo u16/Minor Midget program where he helped lead team to Alliance Championship. Logan is a hard working and committed player and person on and off the ice. He always gives back to his community and is constantly striving to be the best he can be. For all the young local players Logan is a great example of how to be a pro in all facets of not just the game on ice but commitment and perseverance off ice as well.. we as a program had the pleasure to coach him for a year in his development and am so proud of him. Continued success and Waterloo and everyone is very proud and happy for you.

 

Wolves Clinch OHL Cup Spot

Cooper Way Signs to Oshawa Generals

CONGRATS TO COOPER WAY (2003 Born Alum)!!!

The Oshawa Generals announced today that forward, Cooper Way, has committed to an Ontario Hockey League standard player agreement with the Hockey Club.

The Waterloo, Ontario native was the Generals fourth round, 78th overall selection in the 2019 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. Way attended the Generals Orientation Camp last April and the Generals main Training Camp in August. He currently is a member of the Elmira Sugar Kings in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.

The 6’2, 181-pound, left shot forward, has recorded eight goals and 17 assists for 25 points in 46 games played with Elmira.

“Very excited to have Cooper committed to the hockey club,” said Vice President and General Manager, Roger Hunt on the announcement. “He is having a great season with Elmira and we are looking forward to getting him in Generals colours. He will be a big part of our future as we move forward.”

Way will join the Generals beginning tonight in Kingston. He will wear number 14 with the team.
